Moonails is a free nail art tutorial library built around clear steps and designs that actually work. Every look is painted and checked before it is published.

  • Who Are We?

    • Moonails started with Anna, who taught herself nail art through trial and error and began filming her own tutorials because the ones she found online were often rushed or hard to follow.
    • The site launched in 2026, growing out of design testing and tutorial writing that began in 2025.
    • Our small team works remotely from Morocco, France, Nigeria, Spain and the United States, which shapes the range of styles and trends you will find in our designs.
    • We do our own nails first. Everything published here is something one of us has actually painted, worn and photographed.
    • Every tutorial stays free to read. No accounts, no paywalls, no downloads required.

  • Our Purpose

    • Make nail art approachable for absolute beginners, without assuming you already know what curing or negative space means.
    • Write tutorials that are unambiguous, so you spend your time painting rather than decoding instructions.

  • How Are Designs Tested?

    • Anna paints every design herself before it is written up, and redoes anything that does not sit right.
    • Each design is then recreated a second time straight from the written steps, to catch missing steps, wrong cure times and instructions that only make sense to the person who designed them.
    • We record the exact polish shades, brush sizes and cure times used on the sample, so your product list reflects a real manicure rather than a guess.
    • Photographs are taken of the actual finished nails, and progress shots are included wherever a step is hard to picture from words alone.
    • Reader corrections and questions are taken seriously. When a tutorial is amended, the change is noted on the page so anyone mid-design knows what moved.
